I always love putting together stitch combinations to create textured stripes within a design. One thing that comes to mind when I think of Fall is texture.
This crochet pattern is for an 8×8 inch crochet afghan square. The theme for this square is Cozy Fall.

About this crochet afghan square pattern
There are 2 different stitch combinations involved in this blanket square pattern.
The first stitch used in this afghan square is the crunch stitch. This specific stitch is a combination of half double crochet and slip stitches.
The second stitch used is the moss or linen stitch. This is a stitch combination that uses single crochet stitches and chains.
This crochet afghan square pattern is considered Intermediate level because of the specific way that this pattern is worked up.
There are a lot f different rows to follow and several repeats of those row. This crochet square pattern is worked in a corner to corner method.
This C2C method means that this square starts at a corner point and increases are added to each side. Then half way through the square the increases become decreases to finish the square shape.
