Ever need an extra layer for comfort without the bulk of a big blanket?

Well, this crochet blanket wrap is just that. The perfect layer you’ll need to fend off a little chill and be cozy as can be.

Wear this blanket wrap around you while lounging outside one evening or bring it with you on a road trip to use in the car.

About this crochet blanket wrap

This blanket wrap in other terms is just an oversized or large crochet rectangle shawl.

This project uses 3 different colors of yarn. A white, a gray and a black.

The specific yarn used is WeCrochet Mighty Stitch. I love that this yarn has a nice sheen to it and it is very soft for also being 20% wool.

This yarn is a worsted weight #4. It comes in over 30 different colors and works up very nicely. This yarn is 80% Acrylic, 20% Superwash Wool.

WeCrochet kindly provided the yarn needed to create this pattern for you!

The main stitches used in this crochet blanket wrap are single crochet, double crochet and chain stitches.

Granny stitch stripes are worked at each end to add extra detail and that is where the 2 accent colors are added for some visual interest.

The length of this blanket wrap can easily be adjusted by adding more row repeats in the body of the shawl. This crochet shawl measures about 19 x 63 inches.
