**I had the awesome privilege of collaborating with Lion Brand Yarn Company in creating this hooded crochet scarf design. They provided yarn support for me to be able to create this awesome pattern for their line of Wool-Ease Yarn!**
About the pattern: This pattern is an easy beginner friendly design that uses 4 basic stitches – chain, single crochet, half double crochet and double crochet. The majority of the stitches are half double crochet with the single and double crochet stitches not added until the border of the scarf.
The scarf is worked in the back loop only to give it a really nice textured look that is really eye catching and classy.
What is unique about this scarf is that it is worked in 2 halves. Once each half is completed it is then seamed to form the hooded section. Another unique aspect of this scarf is the keyhole design. A hooded scarf with a pull-through feature! What more could you ask for!?
About the yarn: This Wool-Ease yarn is a weight #4 worsted and is 80% Acrylic, 20% Wool. It is on the slight thinner side of a weight #4 yarn.
There are a decent amount of colors to choose from and what I love about most of the colors is that they aren’t completely solid but have a couple different tones of color within them to create the solid colors.
Check out all of the colors HERE on the Lion Brand website.

Thank you Rita! I have been trying to figure out how this scarf would work using the pattern that is posted in the store by Michaels. They omitted the majority of the first half, stopping with a small triangle after row 16. Beginner friendly takes on a whole new meaning when half of the pattern is missing!!!!!
The same happened to me!! I’m so glad I found the accurate pattern online. My daughter loved the pattern and wanted it made.
I know this is a really old post, but I just wanted to tell you that Michael’s (the craft store chain) is listing this pattern on their website and in-store, using your photography but without giving you credit. They have also omitted some of the pattern instructions, so if anyone decides to go the same sort of massive Google search I just did in order to find out wtf is wrong with the pattern I got from Michael’s, they might come across this post and blame you for writing a bad pattern.
