A unique and fun set of beaded boho crochet coasters.
I love a good quick crochet project, how about you? Quick projects are great for many reasons. The one reason I love quick crochet projects is for the instant satisfaction I get when completing it. That feeling I get when completing a crochet project is just so nice.
This specific project of boho crochet coasters will give you that satisfaction feeling whether you just complete one coaster or a set of 4 coasters.
This set of boho crochet coasters is also perfect for gift giving. Make a set in 1 solid color or make a set of 4 with 2 or even 4 different colors! If you like working with a lot of colors then this can be a fun project to make in multiple colors.
The shape of this specific coaster is a hexagon. A fun geometric shape with 6 sides. The hexagon shape adds just a little more uniqueness to a set of coasters. It also adds slightly to the boho style.
This coaster consists of 6 rounds. It also uses a variety of crochet stitches throughout. Those stitches include chains, single crochet, half double crochet and double crochet stitches.
The most unique and fun aspect of this boho crochet coaster is the beads. There are 6 beads that are added during the last round.
The pattern calls for hildie & jo 8 mm wood beads. You can experiment with other beads but you will just need some that have a large enough hole for the worsted weight yarn to be pulled through.
Now, the beads can always be left off. That will still look very nice. You can also add some fringe tassels around the last round if you decide to not add any beads.
The yarn used for this project is one that I enjoy using for many home decor items rather than for a wearable crochet design. The yarn is Lion Brand 24/7 Cotton. It is 100% cotton and has a unique construction to it.
There are so many colors to choose from. The 2 colors used for the coasters are Beets and Dragonfly. 2 newer colors that were recently added to this specific line of yarn.
You can check out some Mug Rug Coasters here that also use 24/7 Cotton Yarn.
