There is nothing better than having the perfect yarn with a perfect stitch combination come together to create something of amazing elegance! This crochet wrap has that perfect combination.
The Touch of Elegance Wrap is a great layering piece. You can call it a wrap or call it a poncho but its purpose is the same. It’ll add a nice classy look to dress up any outfit. Wear it over a dress or over a plain shirt with some nice jeans. Wear it on a date night or to Sunday church. You will love the way this wrap looks and feels when you have it on.

Pattern Details:
This crochet wrap is worked in a long rectangle with a pattern repeat of just 3 rows. A border is added after the rectangle is worked up to the proper size. This design requires 5-6 20mm (6/8″) buttons or any buttons that will fit between 2 double crochet stitches.
Sizes:
This design comes in 3 sizes. S/M, L/XL and 2X/3X
Yarn Details:
As with so many patterns it really is the yarn that makes this design so special. The yarn used for the Touch of Elegance Wrap is Lion Brand ZZ Twist. This yarn has an amazing drape and stretch and is the perfect fit for this wrap. ZZ Twist is a 100% Acrylic #4 worsted weight yarn.

Yardage:
- S/M – 800 yards
- L/XL – 950 yards
- 2X/3X – 1,150 yards
Yarn Substitution:
If you do decide to substitute yarn for this project please know that the drape and feel of the wrap can and will most likely be affected. If you want the closest results as possible to the sample then stick with ZZ Twist if you have that option.
But I do have some tips for you when deciding to substitute yarn for this specific project.
- Go with a worsted weight yarn that has some extra weight or density to it.
- Go with a yarn that also has some good stretch to it.
- You can also try going up 1 hook size to get more of a drape as well if the yarn substitute doesn’t have great drape.
