I enjoy making crochet hats for family photo sessions. Now that I have 2 kids I also enjoy making a new crochet hat each year for them.
I have carefully gathered a small collection of crochet hat patterns for you. Patterns that use the same weight of yarn. These crochet hat patterns all use a worsted weight yarn.
I think a worsted weight yarn is my favorite weight of yarn to use for crochet hats. There is such a great variety within this yarn weight.
Different yarn brands all have a wide range of yarn within this worsted weight category.
A worsted weight yarn is categorized as a #4 on yarn labels. It is one of the most popular yarn sizes to work with. It is not to big or to small in size. That is what makes it so great to work with for a variety or different crochet or knit projects.
A worsted weight yarn is great option for beginner crocheters.
